A mobile valeter does not need a large Google Ads budget. You need a few bookings a week in the right postcodes. A single, tight campaign can do that if it is set up carefully. Here is the plan.
First, check the sum
A valet has a modest price, so one booking will rarely cover a high lead cost. The case for ads rests on repeat custom. Work out what a regular customer is worth over a year and use that to decide what you can pay to win one.
One campaign, two ad groups
Ad group 1: Mobile valeting
- "mobile car valeting [town]"
- "mobile valeting near me"
- "car valet at home"
Ad group 2: Higher-value services
- "full car valet [town]"
- "interior car cleaning near me"
- "car seat cleaning service"
Use phrase and exact match only. Leave broad match off with a small budget.
Keep the area small
Target the postcodes you can reach without long drives. Choose people in the area, not people interested in it. A tight radius is the main way a small budget stays effective.
Negative keywords
jobs, vacancy, franchise, business for sale, equipment, van for sale, products, supplies, pressure washer, course, training, how to, DIY, insurance, hand car wash, automatic car wash, petrol station
Schedule
Run ads when you can answer. If you work alone and cannot pick up while cleaning, use a booking form or WhatsApp link and say when you will reply.
The ad
- Headline: "Mobile Car Valeting in [Town]"
- What makes it easy: we come to your home or work
- Prices from a stated figure
- Call and message extensions
The page
One page is enough:
- Services and prices by car size
- Areas covered
- Photos and reviews
- A booking form with postcode, car type, service and preferred day
- A tap-to-call button
Track bookings
Set up conversion tracking for form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks. Ask every new customer how they found you. After a month, look at cost per booking.
Budget
Start with a small daily amount and run it for a full month before judging. If bookings come in at a cost that a repeat customer covers, raise it slowly. If not, check search terms and the page before spending more.
Turn bookings into regulars
Offer every new customer a fortnightly or monthly slot before you leave. The ad cost is paid once; the repeat income is not.
Common questions
Is Google Ads worth it for a mobile valeter? It can be, if you win repeat customers and keep the area tight.
Can I use Local Services Ads? Car valeting was not on Google's UK list when we checked.
